MAP GROUP entered the Chinese design market in 2003 with the establishment of “Tianjin Zhonghanxing Architectural Engineering Design Consulting Co., Ltd.” in Tianjin, marking the official launch of its operations in China.

In the early stages of Hyundai Motor Group and Kia’s expansion into China, the company performed basic design work, gaining in-depth insight into the Chinese design market and building strong expertise in localizing the needs of Korean clients. Through strategic collaborations with leading Chinese design institutions—including Beijing Industrial Design & Research Institute, China Architecture Design & Research Group Beijing Institute, J&D International Beijing Design Institute, and Yancheng Urban Planning & Design Institute—we successfully integrated Korea’s advanced design capabilities into the Chinese market.

Our successful execution of numerous projects for Hyundai Motor Group and its partners has proven our technical competence and expertise in both design and construction management. By establishing an integrated and collaborative system between our headquarters in Korea and major design firms in China, we deliver optimized solutions tailored to the diverse requirements of our clients. Furthermore, we have built a one-stop service system that enables comprehensive local design work in China as well as design coordination and document development in Korea. This integrated system minimizes potential risks during project execution in China and ensures the delivery of high-quality design outcomes through a highly refined process.
