HYUNDAI Motors Chennai 2nd Plant, India

Hyundai Motor's Chennai plant is a manufacturing facility located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in southeastern India. After the groundbreaking ceremony in December 1996, it was completed in October 1998. The construction cost was approximately $614 million, and the facility spans 660,000 pyeong (approximately 2.18 million㎡). In February 2008, the second plant was completed with an investment of approximately $1 billion. It was built on approximately 176,000㎡ within the Hyundai Motor India Corporation site and has an annual production capacity of 300,000 units.
