International Design Competition for Incheon Geomdan Museum & Library Cultural Complex
인천검단 박물관·도서관 국제 설계공모

International Design Competition for Incheon Geomdan Museum & Library Cultural Complex was planned as a multi-layered aerial garden, and in order to metaphorically express the theme of 'connection', it was planned in the form of a bridge. By exploring the relationship between the picturesque nature of Incheon Geomdan, which consists of consecutive hills, and the emerging modern urban culture, the design proposed a multi-layered and sculptural space installation in the form of a bridge to answer the question of the future of expressing the relationship between modern libraries and archaeological museums, and what state-of-theart
cultural clusters coexist with nature. In other words, the spaces in the platform and block units create a diverse lighting landscape of knowledge and culture, which is integrated by utilizing various internal/external programs. In addition, this composition provides a poetic landscape where visitors can freely explore and experience modern cultural centers.
