Korean National Red Cross Government Office Building

Korean Red Cross in Wonju involves integrating four Korean Red Cross institutions (part of the headquarters, the Blood Management Headquarters, the Blood Transfusion Research Institute, and the Training Institute) into a new building in the Wonju Innovation City. The project aims to grant independence to each institution located while symbolizing a unified image as a new headquarters, embodying the concept of the Red Cross where nature and people come together, represented by the term ‘Ah-woo-rum’. The motive of the design ‘Ah-woo-rum’adopts the ‘relief’ and the ‘community service’ spirit of the Korean Red Cross and fills it with harmony and specific character.
