Seoul Yeongdeungpo Public Housing District S-1BL

Creating an In-Between Space in Yeongdeungpo, the City of Differences! This is an era of communication and exchange. Nevertheless, the social and urban structure of Yeongdeungpo seems unrelated to this. Why is that? Have we been ignoring the ‘existence of differences’ and blindly hoping for integration? Exchange is the communication between different thoughts. Acknowledging the differences between one another and gradually progressing toward integration is what can truly be called exchange in its genuine sense. To create spaces between cities, complexes, and people, we propose square spaces with the keywords ‘emptying,’ ‘connection,’ and ‘circulation.’ These squares become the architectural concept for plazas, green spaces, and communityspaces.
